Paul Worswick Biography

Paul entered the education sector in 1993 after working for a number of years in the engineering industry, where he had gained a BEng (Hons) Engineering degree. After training at Bolton Institute, for a PGCE in Further Education, he took on a number of posts.

The posts were as follows:

  • Part time lecturer at Warrington Collegiate
  • Part time lecturer at Halton College
  • Centre Head for Adult Education at one of Warrington Collegiate Outreach Centres
  • Assistant Centre Head for the Saturday Morning Adult Education programme at Warrington Collegiate.

His first full time post was in 1994 at Halton College, where he worked with and supported learners in the workplace, providing them with Individual Action Plans (IAP) to help their achievement of an NVQ.

In 1998 he transferred from workplace training to mainstream college provision where he worked with and supported both young learners in the 16 to 19 group and adults.

During this time he took on additionally duties of Course Team leader and Personal Tutor for the HNC Engineering Programme. Whilst he was the Course Team Leader he was responsible for ensuring the HNC met the requirements set by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) whose role was to ensure that the quality of provision was in place.

In June 2003 he took the opportunity to progress his career further by starting his own business called JP Training.
